• I.T Support and ACPCN Services

Indeed I have not posted in forever, but I must digress to the title topic.

As you may know, ACPCN Services is already 5 years old (6 coming up). Many name and service changes later, I am pressed with closing down the site…but I cannot. It means so much to me and has helped build me (just as Christians 4 Life did many years ago). Instead of retiring the whole site 100%, I finally came up with a 100% free solution: make an I.T. Support webpage on my site with nothing more than the intended purpose and details. Nothing additional thrown in.

The old site will be revived once again sometime in the unforeseen future. I know there are tax issues that held me back from growing from a hobby to a business, but then on top of that barrier, God impressed on my heart to turn it from a monetary focus to a ministry focus, so to speak, and that was the hardest of all. That’s the reason the site is temporarily dissolved. I usually rush into projects for web designing and because I can come up with 0 thoughts on what to do, I feel 100% that this is God saying something like “slow down and lets work this out how I want it.”. This way, when ACPCN Services comes back (maybe with a new name [again :-D ]) it will be just as God intended.

By making the site temporarily move to my personal website, I am able to not worry about what the site is going to look like now or tomorrow. I can still focus on providing quality pc and networking support without the numerous webpages and still build a Godly site for I.T. ministry work!

To all clients, I still appreciate you for sticking with me so long and to new clients I pray you’ll let me offer top-quality I.T. support for you!

  • Life & Website changes

It’s good to post again! It’s been a very long time since my last post. Sorry for that.

Nevertheless, a LOT has happened and is happening (both good and bad). Overall, my passions and drive has come back and it is hovered around the computer networking field. I am strongly set on becoming Cisco certified and am slowly making my way through it on top of school and stuff.

Website wise, I’m gradually phasing out LUVR (Life Under Viper’s Rocks). The name had no negative meanings, don’t get me wrong. It’s simply the point that I came up with this somehow as a teenager and I’m an adult now. So, there come a time when you need an overhaul and now is the time! The new title (or “theme” as I’ll call it) is “My Life. My Story. My World.” This actually has been my tagline at LUVR since the beginning back in ’04, so the transition will be easy. Anywho, I feel peaceful that this is a more mature, more accurate name that will perfectly reflect ME!

Thanks for checking back! God Bless!!!

  • Certifications

Well, it’s another discussion about Cisco and CompTIA. Cisco is one of, if not the most, prestigious  computer networking companies in the world. Also, CompTIA is in its own way respectable (not necessarily prestigious) in that they basically set the benchmark for I.T. certifications. If you’ve followed one or both of my blogs you’ll know that I’ve tried my luck at pursuing a both companies’ certifications and am in the process at school in obtaining my CompTIA Net+ and A+ now. I was a student in the Cisco Networking Academy in my high school but never finished (which I could have had my CCNA!) :-(

Anyway, I got away from networking because of the math and overwhelming amounts of definitions, terms, and acronyms involved. However, it’s not all about that because the math is masked by the concepts, theory, and application of networking itself, and the terms/acronyms will actually fall in place if you substitute the acronym for the full word (such as DHCP, rather jus say Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol). Anyway, I’m again going to attempt at the Cisco certs after I finish Net+.

    Cisco pyramid

With Cisco, preferably, I’d love to obtain a full track from Entry to Architect, as depicted in the revised Cisco pyramid below. I’m yet again going to pray and try to strive towards obtaining a Cisco certification…all the way to the top. Yes, VERY expensive and VERY long and hard work. BUT it is doable because people have passed it obviously. So, if it be in the Lord’s will for my life to obtain one, many, or all of their certifications, then I’ll pray and work hard at it and hope you’ll pray with me, too!

You can follow along with me on a webpage to notate which certifications I’ve completed and those I’m pursuing. LINK

    In Christ,

    Andrew

  • Job Life

Well, I update my resume periodically to keep it fresh with the latest and greatest details. Bad part is, no employer’s are reading it. I’ve got my resume on all the large job posting websites like Monster, AtlantaJobZone, CareerBuilder, etc. So far all the hits I’ve gotten back are from retarded insurance companies that require heavy math…of which I easily deny the positions.

Any who, I’m consistently praying for God to reveal His will to me. It’s imperative that I stay as close as possible to His will so that I am obedient to what He has in store for my life. Especially since Danielle and I will be getting married next year, this is a super big reason I definitely need a better paying job. God will provide, though, so I’m hanging in there till the right moment comes around.

Keep my job situation in your prayers.

  • New Year…New Things

Aah well January is over!!! Goodness, 2012 will be here sooner than we think (ha-ha-ha. If Jesus said He doesn’t know when the world will end nobody does [not even Maurice Strong. ha-ha] You won’t get that unless you watched Conspiracy Theory).

Anywho, rambling aside. I’m sleepy. I spent the last 30 or so minutes reading all of my old blog posts, and as I’ve done in the past, I say again that I love reading my old posts and seeing how I’ve progressed in life and spiritually. So all the gibberish about this and that for schools is out. I settled on West Ga Tech (was West Central Tech) and am only in two classes; one online and one on campus which I thoroughly enjoy the instructor. A smooth, nice and understanding individual…not someone who beats a ruler over your head making you do useless bookwork. I like it all so far but know it will get harder. That’s to be expected.

Danielle and I are doing great. I love her more than anything in this world! We will be starting the “5 Love Languages” at Sweetwater BC this coming Sunday night for a few weeks I think. It will be good b/c most couples are married for long periods of time and have troubles and are clueless how to solve them and then they go get help (or do this study). Our mindsets are that we will benefit from this by getting this pre-counseling-ish study done now so we can better resolve issues that married couples have. :)

I still don’t have a passion for LifeWay, but I still do love getting people their first Bible. If it be the Lord’s will, I will do AM training again, but as I’ve said in past blogs I pray I’m not stuck in retail forever b/c you can not initially live off of the type of salaries AM’s or less make. God is continually guiding me and giving me wisdom on what I’m going to do as a career in life.

I hope LUVR Services thrives. I’d love to work for myself as a career rather than for “the man”. However, I can only do what I know how to do and hopefully the schooling will give me that credibility I need to take LUVRS further. God only knows.

Church is going well, I love being the pianist and the Director/Chairman of Info Tech! I love teaching computers to others and it’s possible this could be something I do. Although it’s not one of my 4 possible career areas, I did say God only knows and I’m content knowing that. :)

Well, I have to work early and go to school tonight. I pray you have a blessed week and hope you’ll let me know if there’s anything I can pray for you about. Pray for me!

    MLIC,

    Andrew

  • End Year updates

Well, it’s that time. The 2009 year is almost over. It has been a great year, probably one of the busiest ones for me, ever. Since dating Danielle in March I have had the best time of my life and will pray I/we keep having more awesome time together.

Our church (Cowan Mill Church) is having the Christmas Musical today. I’m anticipating a nice turnout at the service. I’m prepared and know the choir will do well. It’ll be exciting to see how it goes.

I’ll be starting school in January at West Georgia Tech in a computer associate’s degree. Whew, I pray I do well and succeed at it. Hopefully, I’ll get a good job out of it and can make enough $ to start a family. The Lord only knows and I’ll continue to trust Him in this.

Last tidbit is that I pray everyone has a wonderful Christmas and New Years!

    Much Love in Christ (MLIC),

    Andrew
p.s. I’m soo sleepy, I took some Robitussin (c) b/c I’ve been sick last day or so and posted this under the LUVR Services blog. haha. Well I fixed it now!

  • The present-future

Not quite sure what step is next. I’m constantly praying for the Lord to guide me in the right direction.
Danielle and I have agreed that I’ll finish my A+ certification (and any other one, if possible), while she goes back to school this fall.  So I will hold to that promise. As far as after that, I’m hoping that I won’t need college, but as we all know, this everyday failing economy will one day get to the point where you must have a doctorate (PhD) to work at McDonalds.
I’m not one for classroom based learning, usually because of too many farfetched rules, too many students, and classes that have absolutely NOTHING to do with what you’re studying. So I’ve kind of decided that If I do go to college, it will be online school more than likely. I don’t want an Associates because you’re underqualified, and likewise for a Doctorate as you’re over qualified. But perhaps a couple Bachelors and a Masters. Those seem adequate enough.
The school of choice is Western Governors University (WGU.edu) for a Bachelor’s of Science in Information Technology (link), which is the most broad degree in their I.T. program.  I JUST emailed my advisor asking about this degree and some other details. Hopefully some insight will come from that. Perhaps after that would come a Master’s if I were really up to it. But only the good Lord knows.
In the fairy-tale world. I’d love to have a Bachelor’s, Master’s, and a PhD in Church Music and likewise in I.T. That’s too much money and too much time.
Here’s how I had it laid out:

    MUSIC:
    Boyce College (undergrad of SBTS)
–Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies: Music Ministry Major

    Southern Baptist Theological Seminary
–either a Master of Church Music (M.C.M.) or Master of Music in Church Music (M.M.C.M.) [not sure of the difference]; or Master of Divinity in Church Music (website doesn’t show this being offered anymore).
    – and a Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) in Music Minstry (D.M.M.)

    TECHNOLOGY:
    Western Governors University
    – Bachelor of Science in Information Technology
    – Master of Business Administration with Emphasis in Information Technology Management
–no clue about a doctorate…maybe the Cisco CCIE.

But for now, I must focus on the present-future. I am hopefully working towards becoming more creditable with whatever the Lord wants me to be, whether it be music, computers or business. I don’t really want to work retail for the rest of my life, but I am hopefully going to work towards Assistant Manager at LifeWay. Not a whole lot more $$$ but it will be more. I am being nominated tonight (Wednesday) at church as full-time pianist, even though I’ve been playing full time for over two months now. Oh well. :) Lastly, the certification will be on my list of things to accomplish soon.
I hope you’ll be praying along with me about these things. I continue to pray for all of you :)

Look me up on Facebook or Twitter. See my Contact page of my website for links.

    Thanks and God Bless,

    Andrew

  • Marker…update

So my anxiety for the gun to came was huge. I waited nearly right up through the same morning it came (b/c I had to sign for it or they’d leave and come back the next day). Anyhow, so I waited all afternoon until right until almost time for work, I started to call the FedEx branch and ding dong!!! It was at my door!!! ha-ha talk about good timing.

So I’ve had it for a week or so now and it’s awesome. I’ve purchased a LOT of accessories that didn’t originally come with it. Now it’s all decked out. I tried to self-chrono (test velocity) and I successfully failed. My 2 and a half to 3 year old paint broke in the magazine and chamber so It gunked up (and still is) b/c I’m afraid to dismantled it and not be able to put it back 2gether. However, I went early this morning and had both my Tippmann and Tiberius chronographed. So hopefully they’re good to go. I had to get a remote line kit b/c I forgot my co2 mini-cartridges at home. Then I got 1000 Dusk paintballs (lowest of the high-end pballs). So I’ve spent WAYYYYYYYY more than I should this first and second quarter of the year. Lord knows it’s all in good interest. I’m lookin forward to next weekend when we go play. It’ll be nice to see how these guns really hold up. :)

Secondly, I’m pooped. We had API (annual physical inventory) last night and it was fun and tiring, both. We’ll have to continue today to get the last few areas covered so yeah. Whew!

Thanks for reading and always, let me know if there’s anything I can pray for you about.

    MLIC,

    Andrew

  • Marker

Well, I just purchased a new, very expensive marker.

    You’re probably thinking “a”………”expensive”………….. marker?

Nope we’re not talking crayola here. Ha-ha. I’m talking about paintball. Marker is another name for paintball gun. :)

I own a Tippmann 98 custom stock and that’s about how to sum it up…stock, bland. Thank the Lord my mom got it for me, yes, but I got something a lil souped up that I prayyyyyyyyy will last me a loooooooong time (like 5 years or so…b/c one guy said he buys new ones every 5-6 yrs which seems logical.)

The company is called Tiberius Arms and the marker I purchased was the top of the line one [ for now -_- ] called the T9 Elite ST (pic below). Of course, the picture doesn’t do justice to the actual gun.

I hope I get it soon b/c we’ve gotta church outreach [that includes paintballing]. Alright, I’m bout to fall over here asleep. Pray that the Lord gave me proper wisdom to buy this. I must have 2nd….no 30 guessed it but then had a temporary peace to buy it. So pray. :) I’ll edit later when I get it w/ any updates.

  • A Fresh Move

Whew. I’m tired. Ha! I’m downsizing my room quite a bit. Sometime mid-last year, I took down my bulky entertainment shelf and got a smaller one. Today, I broke down my desk and have nothing there, for now. Originally, when we moved, I got all new furniture (the matching ET and desk) and my room was packed. Idk if it’s the Lord showing me that I’m blessed enough or something weird -either way, I like to downsize now and not be cluttered. It’s an accomplishment that I broke down the desk at 2 or 3 a.m. with people sleeping in the house! Haha.

Anywho, now I’ve got my PC near my bed on my nightstand (since I have a flat-panel LCD it fits nicely.) Now I can lay in comfort on my bed and snooze whenever! I’ll have to decide what to do about the open space in my room but I have no clue as of now because I am exhaustively tired and my back’s sore from liftin’, pushin’ and pullin’ stuff.

Well, I best get some Zzzzz’s before work this afternoon. Thanks for reading my blog and don’t forget to checkout Christians 4 Life (for great Christian resources) and LUVR Services (for all your pc/network needs).

    MLIC (Much Love In Christ),
